Millennium Garden, by Angela Yeo

The garden group enjoyed March/April, as the schoolchildren and adults completed their mosaics which will be incorporated into the garden paths later in the year.

Levelling and drainage has taken place, and work has begun on the hard standing. This second week of April has been kind to us – Steve Ham welcomes viewers to watch the garden shape up. When the raised flower beds are completed we shall welcome your help to establish and plant them, together with wild roses, honeysuckle, perennials, etc. We will let you know when this will take place. Many thanks to those who have helped in many ways.

Pottery classes are being held on April 26th for the schoolchildren to create their own garden masterpiece which will be displayed on boards along the entrance to the garden.

Adults will have the opportunity during May/June to do likewise, hopefully on one or two pleasant evenings, this being the most favoured time of day. These classes are free so please contact Tina Cann or myself if you are interested in getting tuition from an expert, Steve Newton.
