Vacancy on the council

Following the resignation of The Reverend Richard Dorrington, the Parish Council was empowered to co-opt. Several parishioners expressed a wish to be considered to fill the vacancy. Mrs. Daphne Nicholls was co-opted.

Mobile lengthsmen

Because of Foot and Mouth Disease restrictions only limited work was carried out in the parish during their periodic visit in early March.

Best kept village competition

Because of the Foot and Mouth epidemic the competition has been cancelled for this year.

Village square enhancement

Subject to funding, the possibility of putting service cables underground is being discussed with Torridge District Council, the electricity distribution company and other service suppliers.

Annual parish meeting

…is on 27th April, starting at 7pm when local organisations are invited to report on their activities. This meeting will be followed by the monthly Council meeting.
