Millennium garden, by Angela Yeo

Plans continue for the community millennium garden at Tucker's Park and this month heralds two of our workshops. Your opportunity to 'learn how' from a professional tutor.

Our first (free) workshop is on Friday 2nd March with Tom Hynes, countryside officer. With your help and that of the Young Farmers, they will create a Devon hedge on the north side between 10am - 4pm, their opportunity for community commitment. Later in the year they will plant Spring flowers within this hedge.

On 26th and 27th March (Monday/Tuesday) and the Monday following (2nd April) from 10am - 4pm in the Methodist Sunday School Room we are holding our mosaic workshops. It is not necessary to attend for the whole three days. Half days are a donation of £2-50, or £5 for a whole day. Anyone may visit us as the work progresses - perhaps you would like to add a tile or two to this commemorative piece of the future.

We are welcoming the pre-school children on Tuesday 27th March to "add a tile" - hopefully we shall have a photographer to record this important moment.

Don't forget to enrol for the pottery class when it arrives! Space for just one or two on the mosaic workshop.
