An unlikely Agenda but subjects that all came up for discussion at the recent Carnival Committee meeting.
Richard Boughton chaired the meeting that consists of new young enthusiastic members and older long-standing ones, It should be a winning combination energy and experience.
There are a lot of Committees in Bradworthy and the surrounding area and by now most people in the village will know someone who has or even have been on a committee or two themselves. Maybe people get put off and feel that they will have to become too involved and never be able to say no or horror of horrors... stand down. The answer could be some sort of musical Committee chairs.
A simple way to look at this is that the more people get involved the less for everyone to do and you do as little or as much as you want, without any pressure. As new residents to the village Committees can be a fun way to integrate into village life.
The Bradworthy Carnival is going to continue and this year will be as good as the people involved can make it.
The last meeting was fast, fun with lots of very good ideas being brought forward. What is needed are more people to take these plans to fruition.
The more the merrier. So if you feel you have something to offer, please come and join the 'Committee'.
Next meeting Tuesday 13th February 8.pm in the Bradworthy Inn.
