Cllr Jane Addy will serve as the Parish Council appointed Governor at Bradworthy School.
There will be no increase in the sum required to run the parish next year. With careful financial management this year and adequate reserves the current figure of £5,000 will be sufficient.
The council regretted having to remind the community that the amount of litter being dropped remains at an unacceptable level. Again an appeal was made for community tidiness.
The Council , as custodians, was dismayed to learn that there were some cattle still on the Moor at this time of year.
Having collected funds by way of a sales commission for use in the community the organising committee is considering planting a broad leafed native tree in memory of Anne Shadrick. Suggestions as to where it could be planted in or around the village will be welcomed. Please contact Mrs. Turpin on 241817.
The fluctuating level of supply to some areas of the village continues to cause Inconvenience and possibly damage to equipment. Western Power Distribution agreed to put in boosters some time ago and it will be asked to speed out this work.
Trevor Sillifant, Secretary of the Langdon Charity, acknowledges a generous donation from the Bradworthy Line Dancers.
The Council expressed its thanks to Gus Haynes for, once again, making sure that the War Memorial was cleaned and tidied for the occasion.
There is no regular council meeting in December. The next meeting is Friday 26th January.
