In September I drove down to Bradworthy, and had a few days in the village before going on to Saltash to see a cousin, a widow, and also an old friend in Looe.
It was lovely to meet quite a few of my old friends. I heard of the deaths of several, which was a shock to me. I do get the Bradworthy News sent to me each time it is published, so I keep in touch.
This year I moved from my 4 bedroom house to a ground floor flat, and I live with my 51 year old step daughter Janet who came with me to Bradworthy, and she is getting to know the village now, having been several times. I'm 85 now, and still going strong, can drive anywhere. I would say that I would have got round to see more of you but for the continuous rain. Janet and I returned back to Buxton and it is still raining here, and we had snow on Monday 30th October. Which brings me to say a Happy Christmas to all, and a wonderful new year 2001. God Bless.
