At the July meeting Mrs. George from Parkham came and gave a report on her visit to London for the Triennial General Meeting, Wembley. A competition for a home made necklace was won by Mrs. K. Stevens, Mrs. M. Wooldridge, Mrs. M. Lewis, Mrs. M. Carter. Teas were served by Mrs. R. Taylor and Mrs. P. Furse. Flower of the month was won by Mrs. B. Mclaren.
A united service was held in Church. The service was taken by the Rector, Rev. R. Dorrington and the preacher the Rev. P. Crow. The organist was Malcolm Woodcock.
A coffee morning will be held in Holsworthy Market Hall on Wednesday 23rd August from 9.30am onwards.
The cricket team had two good wins at home against Stevenstone Hunt and Newton Tracey, but lost at Halwill and Weare Gifford.
