Plans are under way for this year's Bradry Fayre, to be held on Bank Holiday Monday 28th August 2000, from 11am to 5pm centred on the Square. The committee would be grateful for any suggestions (polite ones please!) or offers of help either during planning or on the day, so that we can ensure that the fair remains a success and continues to raise funds for the community.
If your organisation would like to have a pitch to raise funds, get in touch a.s.a.p. as we are already siting people who have booked places.

Once again, many thanks to all those car owners who so kindly cleared the Square for last year's Bradry Fayre. Please could he Square be cleared of all vehicles this year by 8.30am on Bank Holiday Monday 28th August so that stalls can be set up for the Fayre. Thankyou again and sorry if you have to get up especially early!
The Fayre Committee
The fifth Bradry Fair is coming up fast. Organising it has become so much easier now that we have established contacts who return each year, but there is still a lot to be done. There are now fewer members of the Local Agenda 21 Group as people have moved away from the area or become too busy in other ways and we do need help. If you enjoy the fair and think it would be sad if it were to die again, please get in touch. You don't have to come to every meeting or take on unwanted work; just do as much, or as little, as you are able and be assured that your support and ideas will be happily received. We do actually have fun at our meetings, even rounding them off with a drink and a good old chat. We miss Cecil Collacott's wise presence these days and we would especially like to have more Bradworthy-born involvement. Rumour has it that there are some local people who have been put out by the fact that many things which happen in the village, including the fair, are run by outsiders. This surprises me, since I would have thought that people would be happy to have new residents who care enough about their new home to want to put something into it. Apart from that, we have always welcomed anyone who wants to be involved, particularly those who do have so much local knowledge to share. Please get in touch, whoever you are and whatever your ideas, so that Bradworthy Fair will continue for many more years. We look forward to seeing you soon.
