Putford Church Fete was held at Colscott. We were blessed with a lovely afternoon with no rain. It was opened by Mr. Trevor Sillifant of Bradworthy, who was introduced by the Rector Rev. R. Dorrington.
There were various stalls and games all looked after by members and friends of the Church. There was a savoury and strawberry tea. In the evening there was a whist drive to end the day. A profit of £530 was made.
Owing to the weather not all the cricket matches arranged have been played. The Cup match at Shebbear was played and won after a close finish. The final in Braunton resulted in a win for the home side by several runs.
It is hoped to have a coffee evening at Gregorys Colscott on Wednesday 19th July, by kind invitation of Mr. and Mrs. Sumerfield, in aid of Church funds.
Mr. Lee was the preacher at the Chapel anniversary service. A lunch followed in the Sunday School room.
