Community stall

As you will have no doubt noticed by now, the community stall has re-commenced it's operations. Thank-you all for supporting the stall last year, by both the people who do the purchasing, and the people who bring things to sell. The produce is of a very good standard, and most if not all is chemical free.

All of you out there, the more that you support the stall by both bringing things to sell, and coming to buy, the more there will be to give back to the community. You know the hours, 9 o'clock to 12.30, each Saturday from now on until the clocks alter again. As you know 10% is deducted from the purchase price and this all stays in the village.

In the first year of operation the money went to The Wednesday Club, and also to the school, to help the children to start up their garden project. We had acknowledgements from both.

In the second year of operation the 10%'s went to the Youth club to help to get it started again. Again we had an acknowledgement from them.

Last year, at the close of our stint of 32 weeks, we had the grand sum of £100 to “give away”, not a lot for 32 weeks of commitment, but more for the village than if we all had not been there doing our 'bit'. £50 was given to the Reverend Dorrington for the church and £50 to the Methodist church. We have now had acknowledgements from both.

Welcome to one and all, and we hope that you can find lots of things to sell and to buy, and even have a chat along the way. If you can think of any improvements or have any suggestions, and feel a little shy of telling whoever is on the stall that week, put it on a piece of paper and just hand it in. Thanking you one and all for your support, and for reading this.
