Bradworthy has again been entered for this competition. We have retained the Douet Bowl for the highest placed large village in Torridge in 1998 and 1999 and there is every incentive to maintain or even raise standards.
Councillors are seeking to involve the whole village in the community effort. To this end residents are asked to tidy up outside their premises and also to volunteer to help tidy those forgotten corners, nooks and crannies and other items listed in the judging schedule.
Preliminary judging takes place unannounced in May or June. In previous years Bradworthy has been inspected in mid May.
Please keep up your good work. Please also contact Councillors with offers of help. It may be that a Tidy up Days can then be arranged for a concerted effort, The Guides are having their annual litter?pick early in April which could well be the kick start for the rest of us to get involved.
We look forward to a good response to boost our chances of improved marks in this year's competition.
