Hartland Golf Club and Marshall Farm Development. Bradworthy, as an adjoining parish is concerned at the massive over development proposed. Two large hotels, 76 holiday units, 28 houses plus nature reserves with wildlife ponds, clay pigeon shooting grounds plus sports facilities and large boating lake is considered unacceptable for this location. The minor parish road network could not cope with the addition traffic created by more then 1500 visitors when the complex is full.

The Organiser is sending out a questionnaire to some local organisations to enquire why there is a low take up and to get comment on exactly what the community expects of the service. It is intended to serve more parishes over the next year. The Council is making a small contribution towards costs.

It is reported that children are running off the grass area from a blind spot beside the Coach House in North Road straight on to the road. Parents were asked to remind their children of the dangers before there is a serious accident.
A good meeting was reported. Several local items were discussed including Community Policing as well as area matters.
Proposed closure of local courts including Bideford was deplored. Eventually Barnstaple might also close leaving only 4 courts in the south of Devon and Cornwall. The consultation period for public comment ends on 7th April.
Cllr. Trevor Sillifant reported that in March for a three month period there will be an area adviser to assist in making sure that those on benefit are claiming their full entitlement.
