Do you find it physically difficult to use conventional public transport? If so then try the North Tamar Community Transport Association Ring and Ride.
For people living in the parishes of Bradworthy, East and West Putford, Holsworthy Hamlets including Chilsworthy, Holsworthy Beacon, Pancrasweek and Sutcombe.
To book your journey or enquire about the service please phone the co-ordinator, Beth Dowdeswell, on 01409 254484 between 10.30am and 1.00pm on Wednesday mornings.
How to make a ring and ride journey
Most journeys will be into Holsworthy but if required a monthly journey into Safeways in Bude will be organised.
The voluntary car scheme run by the Volunteer Bureau in Holsworthy is available to provide more individual one off journeys, such as visits to the hospital, doctor, dentist or chiropody appointments.
Transport is provided by volunteer drivers using their own cars, therefore they cannot be expected to turn out on every occasion although they will do their best. Please give the co-ordinator as much notice as possible.
Passengers will need to pay the driver who calculates the mileage from the driver's home to the destination and return to the driver's home at 27.5p per mile.
To enquire about the voluntary car scheme please ring the Volunteer Bureau on 01409 254484.
