It certainly was as we celebrated the New Millennium here in Bradworthy.
The togetherness of the service in Church, the pealing of bells at midnight and then the spectacular radiation of light from those firecrackers. My head was on Plymouth Hoe but my heart was in Bradworthy Square as 2000 illuminated the darkness (wasn't the weather kind).
As we arrived back in the Hall we marvelled at the tasteful decorations. That Disco!! The Hall committee must have paid a fortune to hire such an efficient DJ who really looked the part - Can we hire Marvellous Matt the Millennium Man again next year?) ( Phil would relish that at the real Millennium.) ( Oh! What a night, late September back in '63.)
Our congratulations and thanks to all those who put so much effort into helping us enjoy this special event.
From those rock and rollers Ankte - aching Angie and Arthur -it's laden Watter.
