The following was printed in the Guardian newspaper about a month ago… “Couples hiring barges for romantic weekends are causing damage to waterways near Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, because the rocking of the boats is eroding river banks.”
Which is all very interesting because a strange discussion took place at the last quiz night. It concerned some of the passengers on the recent QE2 'round the Isle of Wight' cruise. Derek and Monica Cann emphatically denied it and reckoned it was Alan and Di Balsdon. However, just as strenuously, Alan and Di Balsdon denied it and reckoned it was Derek and Monica Cann.
