Bradworthy News - November 1999

To The Aid Of Ada

Or… do not underestimate the elderly

The ode to Ada seemed not quite fair,
We just don't see her in such despair,
Although it's true she's retired up the said stair
And her house has received considerable repair.

The Ode we know was just tongue in cheek
And would not put our dear Ada into a pique,
Just in case you have not guessed
We have penned this ode to re-address.

In friendly old Brad'ry she's quite a star
Driving her trendy 4W drive car
Our Ada, off-road; of course she would dare.
(But chooses to drive with considered care!)

So in response to that previous ode,
Of our dear Ada and her changed abode,
Some advice, for you Ada, so please be aware
When out of your window you smile or stare.

No scarlet attire, or feathers in your hair
You've been seen chatting to the boys in the Square.
You may have moved a little nearer to God
But the rest of that ode is a lot of old cod.
