The speaker at the July meeting was Mrs. J. Kent of Tamar Stationery, Holsworthy. She spoke on Window Dressing. A competition for a home made bookmark was won by Mrs. B. McLaren and Mrs. K. Stevens. Flower of the Month was won by Mrs. M. Wooldridge and Mrs. K. Stevens. Eight members joined approximately 500 other WI members in a surprise picnic at Knightshayes Court.

Church

The Summer United Service with the Methodists was held in Church. The service was taken by the Rector, Rev. H.J.Roche. The lessons were read by Mr. G. Martin, and the organist was Malcolm Woodcock.

A coffee evening in aid of Church funds will be held at Gregorys Colscott, the home of Mr. And Mrs. Summerfield, on Thursday August 19th. There will also be a coffee morning in Holsworthy Market Hall on Wednesday, August 25th.

Cricket

The cricket team played and beat Halwill and Belstone at home and also won at Westward Ho!
