1 was most interested to read the recently published Bradworthy Community Appraisal. The document is the result of a lot of work by someone. It seems that of the 409 persons who replied, 69 often and 41 sometimes have difficulty getting to an NHS Dentist. It was unclear if this was because of transport difficulties or non availability of Dentists.
When we moved to Bradworthy we were obliged to seek a Dentist and an Orthodontist, both rare commodities indeed in our previous area. We were lucky to be recommended to Northam Dental Centre, a very modern practice that strives to make your visit pain free and friendly.
Certainly the cost of our recent visit was pain free with NHS treatment being readily available. They were surprised to hear that some people were having difficulty getting to an NHS Dentist. It seems that there is a Dentist Helpline in Exeter that is able to advise those experiencing difficulties. Northam Dental Centre is at 01237 476786.
Following my article last month on Locally Produced Milk, I was pleased to hear from a lady who regularly visits Mole Valley Farmers in Holsworthy. She buys Definitely Devon milk there because it is 30p per 4 pints cheaper than her previous supplier. Apparently their double cream is 40p per 10 oz cheaper than a well known local supermarket.
