Secure 45% of training costs. This unique, confidential service, funded through the European Social Fund, is a joint initiative between Torridge Leader Company and the North Tamar Business Network, and is delivered through Cornwall and Devon Careers.
This programme focuses on the training needs of individuals or small businesses employing less than fifty people. It is not sector specific, so if you or those you employ require training or development contact us to arrange an appointment - we visit you at your home/company premises or, if you prefer, at your nearest business centre.
You will be seen by an experienced employee development adviser, at a time convenient to you, who will discuss your training needs, assist in formulating a training plan, investigate how you can access the most appropriate training provision and, subject to eligibility, secure up to 45% of the identified training costs.
The resultant training plan will reflect your training needs consistent with your individual learning aspirations or business objectives as appropriate.
Training is an investment in your future and/or the success of your business. Ask for a free, 'no commitment' review of your training needs by contacting your area's experienced advisers - Sylvia Hindley and Ken Calvert at the Torridge and Tamar Training Chest, the Quay, Bideford EX39 2XX (tel: 01237 426452/426424 or fax: 01237 426426)
The 'training chest' is available to most sectors of the community, those in business, including farmers and their employees.
We will pay for the training itself, child care costs, travel and subsistence, necessary training materials, and essential work related equipment.
You are eligible if you work in the eligible areas in North Tamar Leader area, are an employed or self-employed individual, are a small or medium sized enterprise, are a community group, or a voluntary worker (subject to additional criteria).
You can attend training out of this area if you can show that no courses are available locally. You can organise your own course - but joining a group course is usually more cost effective.
