(Belated) birthday greetings

Many readers have asked me exactly what Ian Downing is doing down the side of his house. Well, all can now be revealed. He’s fencing off a bit of land so that Sue’s 50th birthday present has somewhere to run and forage.

The story that was put about earlier about the piglet being a ‘spoof’ present from Alan Balsdon turns out to have been a smoke screen. Sue really intends to keep the little piglet, and it’s just ‘in storage’ until the yard is ready.
