March and April have been very busy months, both meetings being well attended.
In March we welcomed 2 new members and held our Annual Dinner at Higher Cadham Farm, Jacobstowe. Our speaker was Chris Merton from the North Devon Hospice and she gave a talk and showed a video on the work they do there. We presented her with a cheque for £150, the proceeds from a ‘Knit-in’. We also sent a team to Clovelly for their Quiz Evening.
In April we had two cookery demonstrations by members and attended the Spring Group Meeting at Woolsery, which was very much enjoyed. We also held a Bring and Buy Coffee Morning in aid of Kosovo and were delighted to raise over £700.
Our meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at 7.30pm in the Sunday School Room and new members and visitors are always welcome.
