As you will know by now we have no elections this time around, both the Parish Council and the District Council were uncontested. I would like to put on record the service that the late Gus Hockridge gave as past Chairman and member of the Parish Council.
The Morice District Council ward, ‘My ward’, will cease at the next elections and a new two member ward, Bradworthy and Hartland will come into being.
May I say that as your local member on both Councils I will continue to be of service and help to you in the coming four years and thank you for your support in the work I try to do. I now start my 33rd year as a Parish Council member and 13th year on TDC. With all the changes that are to come into force my task will be interesting, if sometimes difficult to do all I want to do in our local area.
