I heard the other day that Balsdon’s store is often short of boxes for its delivery service. Imagine Johnny Balsdon’s delight to hear that the pub has so many empty boxes it doesn’t know what to do with them all. A quick trip to collect all the empty boxes followed - only for Alan Chapman and Johnny Balsdon to find that head gardener Marty had just finished burning them all!
