Golfing for a good cause

Exeter Golf & Country Club are hosting a Charity Golf Day on Thursday 13 May in aid of the Devon Air Ambulance. The round of golf is to be followed in the evening by a dinner, auction and cabaret.

The Golf Day is open to all golfers, either individually or in teams and non-golfers are welcome to join in the evening entertainment. For more information, please contact Eddie Grant at Exeter Golf and Country Club on 01392 874139

Step in line for a record line dancing spectacular

Bid to stage the biggest "Line Dance" the West has ever seen, whilst raising much needed funds to keep our Air Ambulance in the air full time.

On the Saturday afternoon of 22 May it is hoped that up to 1,000 line dancers will be joining together and creating the most spectacular show in town. Mary James, one of the county's leading line dancing lights will lead the dancing and the idea is that every participant will be sponsored in aid of the Charity.

For any one wanting to take part either individually or with friends, information can be obtained by ringing either the Devon Air Ambulance office on 01392 466666 or contacting Mary James on 01626 889027. Mary is planning a follow-up fundraising evening at the Langstone Cliff Hotel on the 25 June. It will be a ticket-only event, with a live cabaret, a disco and an evening meal, all for £10.00p.
