Bradworthy Guides

Four new Guides joined the 1st Bradworthy Guide Unit this term. Claire Balsdon, Nicki Bailey, Meghan Dilnott and Jennifer Barnett.

During the summer holidays Guides were involved by selling, icecream at Bradworthy Fayre, and entered a float for the Carnival with the Wombles of Bradworthy Common. We took part in a District Fun day at The Big Sheep with canoeing, making "dream catchers", and cooking foods on trangiers.

We have had a busy term being very creative with help from Sally Anne with 3d cards, Dawn and Ween with pottery painting, and continuing the Science investigate theme and an evening on conservation work.

All the Guides gained entertainers pennants by writing their own scripts and performing an evening's entertainment with help from Elaine Peake

The annual Christmas Bazaar held on 5th December was a great success this year. The Guides worked hard preparing items to sell and running the stalls themselves earning a grand total of £ 181.62 thanks to support from local businesses and friends for draw prizes and contributions which will be used to fund next year's activities.

The Guides finished the year with Carol singing around the village on a mild evening on the 16th December. A cheque for £30 was sent to support Northam Lodge in their work.
